Biography
Background
Dr. Richards is a highly experienced optometrist with a diverse background in clinical, academic, and business settings. As a primary eye care provider, she specializes in low vision rehabilitation. Dr. Richards has made significant contributions to the field of optometry as an Assistant Professor at the Southern College of Optometry, where she co-authored a research article titled ” Comparison of Distance and Near Phorias by Two Clinical Methods” in the Journal of Optometric Vision Development. She has also presented her findings on “An Acquired Case of Toxoplasmosis” at the Southern Educational Congress of Optometry (SECO) International Conference. In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Richards has served as a Regional Quality Assurance Representative for Davis Vision, Inc.
What I am most excited to bring to Simon Eye
My passion for community service. I am passionate about providing eye care to underprivileged communities domestically and internationally. I volunteer with the Coalition Against Hunger and have been involved with a West Philadelphia Food Pantry since 2017. I am actively involved in my community having served as the President of the Chester County, PA club of Toastmasters International, where my leadership earned the club’s prestigious President’s Distinguished Club award.
I am from
West Chester, Pennsylvania and currently reside there.
